Description

The course is designed to support you in your making processes and send you away feeling inspired and more confident in your ability to construct and manipulate clay to produce sculptural works of art.

The days will be divided between daily demonstrations from Brendan and practical work, building your own piece, supported by one-to-one technical support.

Tools and materials are provided throughout the course, you will use the same professional clay body that Brendan produces his own clay sculptures with.

Please be aware that kiln firing is not included in the tuition charge. It is not compulsory to have your works fired – some individuals choose to take their sculptures unfired, some choose to fire themselves, and we can support in safely packing of unfired work for transport.

Should you require, we can also arrange for our technicians to store work as it dries and fire in our kilns for future collection. This is subject to an additional charge, with price dependant on the scale and complexity of your piece. This will be discussed during the course and agreed prior to your departure.

An additional colouring day can be purchased for those wishing to apply colour and glaze to bisque-fired pieces.

Refreshments and a catered lunch are included in your booking fee.
